Gas fireplaces and inserts have come a long way since being introduced. They are more efficient, look real, and produce enough heat to really supplement a home. Obviously, they don’t need the same attention and scrutiny that a wood-burning fireplace needs—but they’re not maintenance free either.
If you getting unusual smells when you use your fireplace, the glass is stained, and the unit just doesn’t seem to be operating the way you think it should–typically, a cleaning will correct these issues and if the problem is something else–we find that during the inspection process. The Chimney Pro’s can get your gas fireplace up and running the way it should be.
At The Chimney Pro’s, we service all makes and models of gas fireplaces–gas inserts–and gas log sets. During the cleaning process we disassemble the front of the unit to access and clean all the controls, we clean the exterior of the unit, all the electrical connections, the glass, pilot assembly, burn pan, and the log set. Additionally, the cleaning service includes a 15-point inspection of the gas unit itself including the electrical and gas connections, remote controls, fresh air intake venting, and exhaust venting–We replenish your embers and verify everything is working as it should.
“Since we originally started in the chimney business working on wood-burning appliances, almost 30-years ago, our inspections go a little deeper than your average “Gas” companies inspection. If your system is vented thru a chimney—we inspect the overall structure of the chimney, the flashing, caps, and chimney crown. If any defects are discovered, we will provide you with an estimate for repairs.”
Many homes have two or more fireplaces–some woodburning and some gas. If you have both woodburning and gas, The Chimney Pro’s can service all your appliances at the same time–You won’t need to make different appointments with different companies.
